MERCHANDISE - ANGELS IN THE STATION (2012)
Descarrega / Download
El seu últim disc "Children Of Desire" aquí.
"Angels In The Station is a demo CD-R that Merchandise had with them on their recently concluded U.S. tour. It contains very raw sketches of songs that ended up on their new LP, Children Of Desire, as well as songs that might end up on newer material. If you missed the fuzz from earlier releases, this brings it back in full effect.
The two Desire tracks that appear here are drastically different than the "official" versions: "In Nightmare Room (Dave's Room)" is yet another dubby version of a Merchandise classic and the demo version of "Become What You Are" is painfully lo-fi in the best way possible. These are amazing listens on their own rights, but the best part of this demo is actually the two new songs "Underground" and "Untitled." Both are very different, with "Underground" bringing back a more guitar-heavy punk sound and "Untitled" being a a more fragile, acoustic piece. To top all of this off, we're given a rehearsal version of fan favorite "I Locked The Door," which sounds more, well, punk than the LP version.
I don't really need to do much to sell this to the people. If you like Merchandise, you know you're going to gobble this up." (Adam - ICouldDieTomorrow)
