"The new Hollydrift EP ‘Wreath of Algoma’ will be released by BFW Recordings on January 4th, 2010. The ep was written and recorded over the summer at Haypenny Studio. I can safely say I reached a sonic Valhalla with these songs. In particular, Great Northern Day and Royal Academy of Summer which both illustrate my wall-of-sound obsession quite well. Maarten and Tubefreak did an excellent job pushing the sound even further and polishing everything. This is the most analog sounding release I’ve ever done, and it has vocals and lyrics. There will be a small Hollydrift website update when Wreath of Algoma is released. Chief among the changes will be the Halting Gait, Tochter, and Christmas 2005 EPs going into receivership due to a general lack of interest. It was time, anyway." (Mathyas Anderson)
